Academic Advisory Panel
The Academic Advisory Panel (AAP) is an international group of education leaders in hospitality, sustainable tourism, research and training. The Panel has been established to strengthen the relationship between the hotel, travel, tourism industry and education and research. The aim is to work with the leading academics in sharing, documenting and communicating best practices to the future leaders of the hotel, travel and tourism industry. The founding members develop the AAP membership and direction, with an emphasis on cultural diversity, relevant industry contribution and international focus.
Partners are drawn together to work on specific programmes and the AAP is asked to link these partnership programmes with the appropriate academic expertise. The International Tourism Partnership recognises that it has much to gain from the participation of the academic community and the AAP is seen as central to its strategy. The plan is to build the AAP into a vibrant network of the world’s leading academics, to improve the quality of implementation projects and to ensure the dissemination of knowledge and best practice.
The
Panel is virtual with the coordination and chairmanship
of Dr Harold Goodwin, Director of the International
Centre for Responsible Tourism.
