Youth
Career Initiative
An employability and education programme for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, the Youth Career Initiative provides students with the life and vocational skills necessary to give them better opportunities and life choices.
From its beginnings in Thailand in 1995 through collaboration with UNICEF, YCI has grown to become a unique education development programme. Its global partnership of hotels, government and non-governmental organizations provides focus for the development of business social responsibility and a partnership model within the hospitality sector. YCI is currently being implemented in Ethiopia, Brazil, Australia, Romania and Poland and is being developed in Kenya, Mexico and Spain.
