What we do

International Tourism Partnership (ITP) is a unique industry partnership, whose role is to act as the voice for environmental and social responsibility in the global hospitality industry. The hospitality businesses that established ITP recognised that they had a choice to make; either choose to ignore the environmental and social implications of their businesses or use their collective might to find ways of doing business differently. This very much remains the foundation of ITPs work, which falls within three main areas:

Sharing Best Practice

With a powerful membership and tight focus on the long-term sustainability of the hotel industry – and a collective reach of over 23,500 properties, over 3.4m rooms and over 1.5m employees in over 100 countries worldwide – the International Tourism Partnership (ITP) has a unique leadership role within the hospitality sector. ITP utilises this leadership to ensure that best practice is shared, which constantly raises the bar of sustainable practice within the hospitality industry.

Working Groups

What differentiates ITP from other organisations is its ability to get some of the world’s largest hotel chains around one table to address the most pressing issues when it comes to responsibility and sustainability in the hotel sector. Working groups are a fundamental part of this process, providing a collaborative and efficient platform to research, debate and create practical solutions to key issues that have been identified and prioritised by members.

Products & Programmes

ITP continues to have a significant impact on the ground. Our innovative publications, tools and programmes demonstrate that economic, social and environmental benefits are possible through practical action.
